Has our national obsession hijacked centenary commemorations of the Great War?
I believe that it is good that we commemorate the Australian efforts in the Great War. But I am opposed to the idea that it is our nation's story because I don't think that our beautiful country with all the magnificent land that we have got should be know as the country that was made because of war. I also don't see where the 1/2 billion dollars went that Australia spent and is going to spend on the centenary commemorations.
