What development?

What is economic progress?

Progress is part of development.

Progress is seen as the economic growth of a country while development refers to the distribution of progress to the members of society.

Notes:

Third World: A country in which the population lives under the poverty line and cannot break out of the poverty cycle.
First World: An economically advanced country where the majority of the population lives above the poverty line.
Second World: A country in which areas are above the poverty line and some large areas are below the poverty line.

Red= Wrong

Map of the Cold War -  The countries who are classified as third world are the countries who refused to be part of the cold war.

The term third world has been hijacked to represent something it was never meant to.

LEDC's - Less economically developed
MEDC's - More economically developed
